Hospitality
"Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."
(Hebrews 13: 1-2)
Below are some ways that St. Andrew’s entertains angels.
Greeters
Greeters or Ushers are the first to welcome people as they enter the church on Sunday mornings. They encourage everyone to wear name tags, identify visitors, ask them to sign
our guest register, and help strangers become friends by assisting with negotiating the service, and inviting them for coffee afterwards.
Coffee Hour
Please come and join us for Coffee and Conversation after both our 8:00 am and 10:00 am Sunday morning services. This is an excellent time to make friends and catch up on each other's lives.
Parishioners take turns hosting coffee hour. It simply involves buying (or baking) some treats, and helping to clean up afterwards. This is a great ministry for newcomers or busy people, because you can sign up for one Sunday at your convenience. There is a sign-up sheet in the fellowship hall.
Breakfast
On the third Sunday of every month, we enjoy a pot luck breakfast at 9:00 am. This is an opportunity for people to connect with those who attend another service. Everyone brings whatever they would like to bring that day, and for those who don't bring anything - well there's always enough for you!
Fellowship Events
At least twice a year, in the fall and the winter, we host a large party for our congregation and guests. In the past, these have taken the form of pig roasts, spaghetti dinners, Gospel Music nights, etc. Watch for upcoming events!
